  2. Motion design

Product motion built for launches, campaigns and paid media.

As a freelance 3D motion designer, I create cinematic CGI motion for brands and agencies that need product animation with strong material detail, controlled pacing and a clear commercial purpose.

From short product loops to full CGI launch films.

Launch Films

10 to 30 second product films designed for launches, paid campaigns and high-impact brand communication.

Social Cuts

9:16, 4:5 and 1:1 deliverables adapted for paid media, social campaigns and mobile-first placements.

Loops and Website Motion

Short seamless or near-seamless product loops for landing pages, hero sections, retail screens and digital displays.

Branded Motion Systems

Longer motion pieces or modular animation systems that combine product CGI, typography, transitions and optional sound design.

Clear motion, controlled pacing, strong product focus.

The problem with many product animations is not too little motion, but too much irrelevant motion. I build camera movement, timing and lighting around the product itself, so the motion supports the object instead of distracting from it.

That means fewer empty moves, stronger visual hierarchy and motion that works not only as a showpiece, but as a real campaign asset.

Built for campaigns that need more than a static frame.

Launch campaigns

Short product films for launches, reveals and hero placements where the product needs to feel premium and deliberate.

Paid media

Motion built for ad placements, with attention to early-frame readability, pacing and mobile-first composition.

Website and landing pages

Looping or cut-down CGI motion for website hero sections, launch pages and digital storefronts.

Agency production support

Motion support for agency teams that need a 3D specialist to build product shots, transitions or complete CGI sequences.

From concept to final cut.

  1. Direction and storyboard

We define the core idea, visual direction, duration and intended output before production starts.

  2. 3D scene setup

The product, materials and environment are built or adapted to support motion, camera and close-up detail.

  3. Camera and motion

Camera movement, product motion and timing are choreographed to support the product and the intended beat.

  4. Lookdev and lighting

Materials, reflections and light transitions are refined until the animation reads clearly and holds up frame by frame.

  5. Post-production

Final polish in post, including color work, compositing, format adaptation and optional sound support.

  6. Final outputs

Final video files delivered in the agreed formats and aspect ratios, ready for campaign, web or paid use.

Common questions about 3D motion design.

Most launch films and social cuts run 10 to 30 seconds. Longer branded motion systems are scoped individually depending on the number of scenes and outputs.

Standard deliverables cover 16:9, 9:16, 4:5 and 1:1 aspect ratios, adapted from the same 3D scene for web, social and paid media placements.

A product animation is quoted individually. Length, number of shots, animation complexity and the formats you need decide the scope. For a quote I need the product, the intended length and the intended use. See scopes →

Typical project sizes. Built for serious commercial use.

Product loop

A short, seamless animation for a website, presentation or social media.

CGI product film

Product storytelling with an agreed visual direction, materials, lighting and animation.

Film with format adaptations

A main film with agreed shorter edits and adaptations for the channels you need.

The scope and usage rights are agreed in the proposal. See project scopes →

What a client says

I was extremely happy with my working experience with Niklas. He created animations for me. Even when requirements changed, he stayed professional, patient and fast. I would be thrilled to work with him again.

Planning a launch film or product animation? Let’s scope it properly.

Motion projects are quoted individually based on product complexity, duration, number of outputs and overall production scope. Send over a brief or references and I’ll come back with a realistic timeline and quote.
